FAQs
Can you make slate perfectly flat?
Slate is naturally clefted. We can reduce sharp highs with selective Honing, but we preserve the stone’s character.
Will an enhancing sealer make it shiny?
Enhancers deepen color. They do not create a thick, slick coating. Sheen remains low and natural.
What if tiles are flaking?
We stabilize by cleaning, removing loose material, and sealing. Severely delaminated pieces may need replacement. We will advise on site.
Is slate good for showers?
Yes, with the right care. We remove film and scale, refresh caulk, and seal. See Shower Restoration.
How often should slate be maintained?
