Dull or cloudy floors: Start with Stone Cleaning. If still dull, add Honing and Polishing.
Etch marks (rings, splash spots): Common on marble, travertine, and limestone. Fix with Honing and Polishing.
Scratches and lippage: Level and smooth with Honing.
Staining and dark grout: Clean, then Sealing. See Tile & Grout Cleaning.
Soap film and hard water (showers): Shower Restoration plus sealing.

How do I tell what stone I have?

We can usually identify on site and confirm with a quick test.

Does sealing stop etching?

No. Sealing helps with stains. Etching is chemical damage that needs Honing and possibly Polishing.

Can you match new tiles to old floors?

We can blend finishes across rooms and help minimize color differences with the right process.

How long does a restoration last?

With proper care and a simple Maintenance Plan, most homes only need touch-ups in high-traffic paths.

Modern Stone Care did a first rate professional job on cleaning and sealing the travertine tile on our rear patio and front entranceway. See photos. They were on time and were a pleasure to work with. They explained the process as the work was done. All of our furniture was moved out of the way and when the work was done placed back.

Modern Stone Care did a great job on restoring 29 year old travertine kitchen floor tile. They also showed us how to keep care of the floor tile. Price was very fair. Not supposed to use Pine Sol, as not good for floor stone (I have been using Pine Sol for last two years).. MSC polished the stone and restored its sheen. Great job!
