When Sealing Is The Right Choice

Choose sealing when you notice:

Water darkens the stone during the water drop test
Food and oils leave shadows that are hard to wipe away
Freshly restored floors or countertops that you want to protect
Grout that darkens fast or stains easily

If your stone shows scratches, etches, or dull traffic lanes, fix damage first with Honing and Polishing. Sealing protects the finish; it does not remove damage.

FAQs

Does sealing stop all stains?

Sealing helps a lot but is not a full shield. It buys you time to wipe spills before they become stains.

Will sealing change the color or make it shiny?

A natural-look sealer will not add shine. An enhancing sealer deepens color but does not create a plastic gloss.

How soon can we use the area?

Light foot traffic is usually fine the same day. Avoid water and cleaners until we confirm cure times. Counters can return to normal use after the cure window we provide.

Do polished stones still need sealer?

Many polished marbles and limestones still absorb oils and dyes. We will test and recommend what is best for your surface.

Is sealing slippery?

Impregnating and enhancing sealers do not create a slick film. Slip resistance is more about finish level and floor care. If traction is a concern, choose a honed finish.
