When Countertop Polishing Is The Right Choice

Choose polishing when you notice:

Dull, blotchy areas that do not improve after cleaning
Light rings from glasses or marks near sinks and cooktops
A smooth counter that lacks reflection
Streaks that reappear after you wipe

If you can feel scratches or deep etch marks with a fingernail, we will start with Honing before polishing. If the top is only dirty or greasy, start with Stone Cleaning and then seal.

FAQs

Will polishing remove all rings and scratches?

Polishing removes micro-marks. Deeper rings and scratches need Honing first.

Do polished counters still need sealer?

Many stones benefit from sealing, especially kitchens and bars. We will test and recommend the right sealer.

Is polishing messy?

We use contained, wet methods to control dust and keep the work area tidy.

How long until we can use the counters?

Light use is usually fine the same day. If we seal, we will give you simple cure times before normal use.

Can you polish engineered quartz?

We focus on natural stone. Some engineered surfaces cannot be mechanically polished the same way. We will advise on site.
